Praise for Theatre Shuttle service
Feedback from Flintshire residents who use the new Theatre Shuttle service reveal that it is a valued and much-loved resource.
The Clwyd Theatr Cymru shuttle service purchased a new modern people carrier during the summer to take people directly from where they live to the theatre.
Comments during a recent survey included “Excellent service. You don’t get much for a pound these days!” and “helpful, friendly and reliable.”
Regular traveller Nancy Clavering said: “The aged can now visit the theatre without depending on other people. It is a wonderful addition to independent living.”
Shuttle user Freda Williams said: “It wouldn’t be possible for me to attend at all if it wasn’t for the shuttle.”

Wrexham 1st Birthday!
Another successful scheme is the Wrexham Industrial Estate Shuttle Service that has been in operation for almost 12 months. The service offers accessible vehicles and is available to employees on Wrexham Industrial Estate who live in Rhosddu, Borras, Garden Village and Acton areas of the town. The service also calls at Wrexham General Station to collect employees of the estate who have travelled by train from further afield.
The service is "demand responsive" which means people who were unable to work on the Industrial Estate due to poor transport links are now able to work there safe in the knowledge that they have a reliable and economic means of getting to work no matter what time of the day you start work.
A single trip on this service costs £1.20 or £6.00 for a weekly ticket which means just 60p per journey on a five day week.
